CITY FAN DONATES TAKEAWAY PRIZE
City supporter Mike Farley has donated his Championship Takeaway prize to help a local hospital appeal.
Mike, of Bradley Stoke, is planning to run the Bristol Half Marathon in support of Southmead Hospital's Precious Drops Appeal.
And after winning Saturday's half-time Takeaway draw at the QPR home game he has handed over his £400 winnings to the charity, which is trying to raise £250,000 to set up a natural milk bank for premature babies.
Mike, whose wife Liz is a midwife at Southmead Hospital, said: "As I bought the ticket I said to myself if I win I am going to donate the money."
Championship Takeaway tickets are on sale around the stadium at every home matchday priced just £1.
