Steve Griffey has held off the challenge of more than 600 other City fans to lead the bcfc.co.uk Texaco Fantasy Football League.

Fan Steve's side Wurzels FC has now amassed 69 points - two more than second-placed James Martini's Cidereds FC.

Roy Jacobs has moved to tied-third with Sam Hanlon, both having 66 points.

More than 630 City supporters are taking currently part in the bcfc.co.uk league, with the top prize being a signed shirt at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.

Although August has now finished, it's not too late to sign up and take part.

Simply log-on to fantasy.football-league.co.uk, register a team and then sign-up to our bcfc.co.uk private league with the pincode 80.
