Gary Johnson has been nominated for Coca-Cola Championship manager of the month for August.

The City boss guided his side to an unbeaten opening month in the Championship, where they currently sit fourth.

And unsurprisingly Gary is up against the managers of the three teams above City in table currently for the monthly award.

Mick McCarthy of leaders Wolves, Preston North End's Alan Irvine and Birmingham City chief Alex McLeish complete the nomination shortlist.

The winner will be announced live on Sky Sports News at 1.20pm on Thursday.
