John Akinde is likely to play in City colours for the first time in this evening's reserve match at Southampton.

The new signing joined up with the squad travelling to the South Coast for the Combination Cup match (kick-off 7pm).

However, he will start the game on the substitutes bench, with Lee Trundle and Steve Brooker lining up in attack.
