Ashley Kington's late goal earned City Under-18s a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at Abbots Leigh.

City dominated for much of the first half and Robert Stambolziev ended a jinking run with a ferocious shot against the crossbar.

Then midway through the second period Nathan Livings saw an angled drive turned against the crossbar by Blades keeper Kango Ho Lee.

So it was slightly against the run of play when, with 15 minutes to go, United took the lead with a 20-yard driven shot under Tom Bradley in the home goal.

But Kington earned a share of spoils three minutes from the end with a powerful 25-yard low drive into the bottom corner.

City Under-18s: Bradley; Edwards, Wilkinson, Boon, Dunn; Hennesey (Rubbens 75), Lennox (McClennan 75), Kington, Livings (Magee 60); Stambolziev, Jackson.
