Steve Griffey is the new leader in the bcfc.co.uk Texaco Fantasy Football League.

The City supporter - who runs the team 'Wurzels FC' - enjoyed a 17-point haul at the weekend to take a one-point lead at the top of the table.

Steve has 57 points, one ahead of Laura Burton's 'Ashton City'. Mark Dando's 'Dando's Ashton Gate Greats' is now joint third with 54 points, level with Luke Thorne's 'Luke'o Club de Football'.

More than 550 City supporters are taking part in the bcfc.co.uk league, with the top prize being a signed shirt at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.
