Jamie McCombe will have surgery today on his fractured cheekbone.

The big defender suffered the injury in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Derby County and has spent all of this week waiting for the swelling to go down.

And club physio Nick Dawes confirmed to bcfc.co.uk today: "Jamie will go in for surgery today.

"The scans have revealed Jamie has fractured the cheekbone in three places and he'll definitely be out for up to six weeks."

Meanwhile, Christian Ribeiro is now rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on his injured knee.
