Robert Stambolziev has been called up by Australia Under-20s for a special training camp in Australia.

The City youngster, now a second year scholar, has been invited to join an 18-man squad in Canberra, Australia - after recently impressing in a Dutch training camp organised by new Under-20s boss Jan Versleijen.

The forward now gets a chance to make an impression ahead of this October's Asean Football Federation Championships, which take place in Thailand.

Academy manager John Clayton told bcfc.co.uk: "Everyone is delighted for Rob and this is an excellent opportunity for him at such a young age."
