GARY'S KEEPER CONUNDRUM
Gary Johnson admits he faces a tough decision when it comes to selecting who will start the season between the sticks.
Last year's player of the year Adriano Basso has missed much of pre-season due to niggling injuries, and in his absence Chris Weale has really shone.
Injury could yet still make a difference in the manager's team selection, but in any case Gary says it will be tricky call to make.
He told bcfc.co.uk: "That's a big decision because Adriano's missed a lot of pre-season. The greatest thing is Wealie has proved his fitness now, having a fantastic game at Cheltenham.
"Wealie is a great keeper and it's good to have two quality keepers on our books. It may be circumstances that dictate which goalkeeper starts the season, but we'll have to wait and see.
"The injury hasn't enabled Adriano to train hard and he needs to be spot on to feel 100 per cent. He doesn't want to let anybody down. If we have to start Wealie I have no qualms about that."
He added: "I'm sure whichever plays at Blackpool, the other one will face Peterborough United in the Carling Cup."
