City's official website has been voted the best in the country for season 2007/08 at the annual Football League interactive awards.

Website editors from other clubs across the country voted bcfc.co.uk the Website of the Year, much to the delight of the club's media department.

The club will receive a cash prize and City's media and press officer Adam Baker said: "It's great that all the hard work which goes into producing bcfc.co.uk has been recognised and rewarded.

"The fact that it's voted for by website staff from other clubs across the country - who clearly know what makes a good website - ensures it is that extra bit special."

He added: "We'd like to thank all the fans who visit the club website regularly and make it such a big success."

It's the third award in four years that City's official website has received, and adds nicely to the club's Programme of the Year award secured at the Football League awards in March.

City's official website is regularly high up in the rankings for page impressions across the 78-strong FLi network of clubs.

Regularly topping sides from the Premier League, City's website will this month register more than three million hits alone.

Bury's Gordon Sorfleet won FLI's Paul Mullen Webmaster of the Year and Crewe Alexandra were named Most Improved FLi Website.
