City will be backed by a sell-out 36,007 supporters in the west end of Wembley Stadium on Saturday for the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final at Wembley.

Season ticket holders and City Foundation members purchased 17,400 tickets during the priority group period, leaving the remaining tickets to go on general sale this morning at 9am.

The demand on Ticketmaster's phone and internet service was phenomenal, but it coped fantastically well to ensure all tickets went within 20 minutes of going on sale.

A club spokesman told bcfc.co.uk: "The levels of sales are unprecendented. This fully justifies the decision to go with Ticketmaster, who were able to sell our remaining tickets within a matter of minutes.

"The club will now be speaking to Wembley Stadium within the next 24 hours to find out whether a further allocation of tickets will be available."
