IT'LL BE A FANTASTIC FINAL - GARY
Gary Johnson says the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final between his City troops and Hull City will be a "fantastic" match-up.
Hull won 6-1 on aggregate against Watford tonight to set-up a meeting with City, who beat Crystal Palace 4-2 after extra time.
Reacting to the final fixture of the season, Gary exclusively told bcfc.co.uk: "I think it will be a fantastic final between two teams who like to play football.
"They showed tonight they can be dangerous and I think we will have shown them last night how dangerous they can be.
"Credit to Hull for getting through to the final. I don't think anyone expected us or Hull to get through to Wembley."
Hull have never played in the top flight before, while City are hoping for a return to the summit for the first time in 28 years. However, City haven't played in what is now known as the 'Premier League'.
"Whoever wins on May 24th, it'll be a new team for the Premier League," the gaffer added.
"The Hull supporters are similar to ours; they crave top-flight football.
"They have an experienced team with some players who have played at the top level before. They also have some dangerous players, but so do we.
"It'll be whoever is up for it on the day."
The final will see the third (Hull) and fourth-placed (City) teams go head-to-head.
The bookies have not yet had their say on who will take the 'favourites' mantle for the final.
"I'm not sure who will be favourites but I don't really worry about that," Gary continued. "I'm sure there won't be much between the odds."
Hull boss Phil Brown has also been speaking about the play-off final on Sky Sports.
He said: "I was in the pub with the chairman watching their (City's) second leg game with Crystal Palace last night.
"The atmosphere in that game was electric and Palace missed their big chance with the penalty.
"Gary Johnson's side has been carrying that luck, but he deserves to be in the play-off final, he deserves to be at wembley but we have to stand in his way now."
