PLEASE STAY OFF THE PITCH

Posted on: Tue 13 May 2008

City are asking supporters to remain in the stands whatever the outcome of this evening's match with Crystal Palace at Ashton Gate.

The home side go into tonight's Coca-Cola Championship play-off semi-final second leg leading 2-1, and another nervy 90 minutes is expected.

But should City win through to the play-off final at Wembley, the club is asking supporters to keep clear of the pitch and let the celebrations take their natural course on it.

It is an offence to enter the playing area in any shape or form and supporters risk arrest if they do so.

A club spokesman said: "We would ask all our supporters to remain in the stands after the final whistle tonight, whatever the outcome."
