Marlon Jackson netted a brace as a young City reserve side beat Swindon Town in the final Pontin's Holidays Combination game of the season.

The young striker scored either side of half-time in the behind-closed-doors match at the club's training ground.

Chris Blackburn pulled a goal back for Swindon, but City had enough about them to hold out for all three points.

City were already champions of the Wales & West Division going into this match following last week's 6-1 drubbing of Bristol Rovers.

Alan Walsh, development coach, told bcfc.co.uk: "We played very well in the first half and deserved the win. They fought back with a second half goal but we had a young side out and they did very well."
