Gary Johnson would like his players to embark on a lap of appreciation for the club's supporters after Sunday's home game with Preston North End - but that can only happen if EVERYONE remains off the pitch after the final whistle.
The City boss has made his intentions clear and would love to let the players thank the supporters for their backing throughout the 2007/08 campaign to date.
However, the plans will be spoiled should any supporters jump the hoardings and run on to the pitch after the game.
There is another warning too, as City have qualified for the end-of-season play-offs and that means another game to go at Ashton Gate.
City are well renowned for their passing game in the Championship, and this could be ruined by any encroachment by supporters on to the playing surface.
Gary told bcfc.co.uk: "We saw on Saturday at Sheffield a superb lap of appreciation after all the home fans stayed off the pitch, and I hope our fans can do the same this weekend.
"The players and the staff would like to take part in a lap of appreciation after the Preston game, but it will only take place if our supporters remain off the pitch.
"It is imperative that you stay in the stands for our play-off chances too. We still have one more game to play at the stadium and we'd like the pitch to be in perfect condition.
"Please, please stay off the pitch."
