Nick Carle could play up to five matches after the regular English season has concluded.

Australian national head coach Pim Verbeek has indicated that the City midfielder will be in his thoughts for the interntional fixtures in May and June. Four of the five games are FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The international fixtures are as follows:-

v Ghana (H), Sydney on Friday, May 23rd (friendly)
v Iraq (H), Brisbane on Sunday, June 1st
v Iraq (A), Dubai on Saturday, June 7th
v Qatar (A), Doha on Saturday, June 14th
v China (H), Sydney on Saturday, June 22nd

Preparations for the first match begin on Monday, May 19th - so if City are in the play-offs they could seek permission for their midfielder's release, if selected.
