FCF MEETING MINUTES FOR APRIL
The latest meeting of the Fans Consultative Forum took place at Ashton Gate on April 10th and bcfc.co.uk brings supporters the minutes.
Managing director of Ashton Gate Doug Harman (DH) hosted the meeting. Head of commercial Kerry Price (KP), head of operations Keith Draisey (KD), head of media and marketing Ed Furniss and fans liaison officer David Lloyd (DL) were also in attendance.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Ed Furniss provided a discussion document based on a club membership scheme for next season and the benefits and costs were discussed in general detail. All feedback was gratefully received.
PRESTON SALES
A member raised the issue of ticketing for the above game.
While it was recognised that the arrangements were not ideal, the club intended to reward as many of its loyal supporters as possible.
The level of demand was unprecedented for a league game and tickets sold out within two-and-a-half days. It was accepted the present system of priority made rewarding loyal fans difficult and that a club membership as discussed above would solve some of those problems going forward.
CURRENT/FUTURE PARKING
Keith Draisey said the club was working with local firms and currently has official matchday supporter parking available at Imperial Tobacco, Braby's, Wickes and Midas.
The club had in the past tried to open the park and ride at Long Ashton on matchdays but had to close this facility due to lack of support.
The club is always looking to open up extra space for car parking but any medium-term solution would rely heavily on support of fans.
Bedminster Cricket Club run an independent parking facility but this can occasions be dependent on the weather.
Full details will appear on the official website bcfc.co.uk ahead of next season.
