Bristol City Supporters Club and Supporters Trust are still asking for nominations for the Supporter of the Year award.

Ian Cottle (pictured) took in the inaugural honour last season after building an unbroken run of 650 consecutive matches and for helping his brother get to numerous games.

Now fans are being given the opportunity to nominate a suitable fan for the 2007/08 award - but the deadline is 5pm this Friday (April 18th).

Supporters Trust fans representative Nick Tomkins told bcfc.co.uk: "Perhaps you know another fan who has shown great commitment to following the team or who has also helped others?

"Maybe this year's winner will be a fan who has improved City supporters' reputation or played a strong and positive role in the community?

"Perhaps the winner has helped improve the atmosphere or improved your enjoyment of watching matches?

"Or could it be someone who has kept coming despite having to face personal struggles to do so, or even someone who has just kept coming for years and years?"

Nominations should be sent to Nick@bristolcityst.org.uk, with the subject line 'Supporter of the Year'. Include the nominated fan's name with a reason for the nomination (no more than 100 words).

A shortlist of five supporters will be selected from those nominated and these will be put to the players to vote for the winner - who will receive a free season ticket for 2008/09.

The winner will be announced at the Player of the Year awards ceremony on Thursday, May 8th. All supporters making the shortlist will be offered a pair of VIP seats for the occasion.
