GARY THANKS LUCKY STARS
Gary Johnson says his players should "count their lucky stars" after escaping Leicester with a point.
City hit the woodwork twice in the thrilling goalless draw at the Walkers Stadium, but in truth the home side dominated for much of the game.
The City manager even claimed on Bristol City World: "That was the most one-sided 0-0 draw I've ever been involved in."
He added: "When you're top of the league then I suppose you've earned that [sort of luck].
"We're now on 66 points and it's not about one game, it's about a season.
"Today we rode our luck and Leicester were unfortunate - but that can sometimes be the difference for teams at the top and those at the bottom.
"We still had to defend, throw ourselves in front of things and have our goalkeeper come out of nowhere to make saves."
When Brian Wilson hit the crossbar on 64 minutes the ball bounced down close to the line.
And Gary added: "The lads believe the shot crossed the line, having said that it would have been a travesty for them.
"It was a great strike and deserved a goal, but whether it was or it wasn't it doesn't matter. We have to come away from here thanking our lucky stars.
"We will hold our hands up, it wasn't a great day for us, but it was definitely a point gained.
"No team has taken six points from us this season, we can relax on that one. Now we have two big games this week to prepare for."
