MY BEST GOAL YET - JAMIE
Jamie McCombe says his winning goal against Hull City was his best one to date.
The big centre-half fired City to top spot in the Coca-Cola Championship yesterday with a stunning overhead kick in front of the Atyeo Stand.
And on Bristol City World afterwards, Jamie said: "I've not scored a better goal than that before, whether I will in the future or not, who knows?
"I tried one of those in my own penalty area in the first half and hit myself on the nose! It was one of those things - the ball was there and it was something that popped into my mind, an overhead kick.
"Fortunately I got a clean contact on the ball and I just managed to see it go as I landed. It was one of those instinct things.
"After getting my first goal at Ashton Gate against Crystal Palace last time, it's nice to have a winning goal under my belt in the stadium now."
City face Charlton next on Tuesday night and there are currently nine points between the two sides.
Jamie added: "It's one of those games we've spoken about before where we could put some good distance between us and a rival.
"They will be looking to win it to move within six points of us, but we can go 12 clear of them if we win at the Valley. That may even put them out of the automatic promotion race, who knows?"
