CITY SET FOR RED'N'WHITE NIGHT

Posted on: Mon 18 Feb 2008

City are all set for Red'N'White Night VII thanks to 100 supporters who turned up at a cold Ashton Gate this morning.

The amazing response ensured virtually every seat in the Atyeo and Dolman Stands is covered with the appropriate red or white bag ahead of the Crystal Palace game this evening.

Fans will be asked to raise their bag as the teams enter the pitch tonight to turn Ashton Gate into a sea of red and white.

David Lloyd, the club's supporters liaison, told bcfc.co.uk: "The response was terrific and shows what great support we have at Bristol City Football Club. I'd like to thank all the fans who turned out to help this morning."

The club is asking supporters to think of the environment and take home with them their souvenir bag, plus the elastic band that comes with it.

Meanwhile, tonight's game will beat the weather thanks to six hot-air blowers at the Micra Wedlock Stand end of the stadium.

The pitch covers have been on the pitch since Friday to cope with the freezing weather. The televised clash kicks off at 7.45pm.
