bcfc.co.uk rounds up a host of news on a busy afternoon at Ashton Gate.

NICK CARLE

Gary Johnson confirmed today that potential signing Nick Carle has now been granted a visa.

City have already agreed a fee with the 26-year-old midfielder's Turkish club Genclerbirligi, and Carle has now arrived in England via Heathrow Airport.

Gary told bcfc.co.uk: "It could be as soon as tomorrow that he signs. We're delighted he's been granted a visa sooner than anticipated."

TRANSFER WINDOW

Gary also confirmed City are in talks with Huddersfield Town regarding a possible permanent transfer for Phil Jevons.

The striker has been on-loan at the Galpharm Stadium for the past month and a half.

City are also in discussions with Carlisle United regarding Richard Keogh's loan spell at Brunton Park - due to end tomorrow.

The City boss wouldn't reveal whether the talks are regarding a permanent move or loan extension.

TELEVISION

City's FA Cup fourth round match with Middlesbrough on Saturday will be a feature game on Match of the Day.

Simon Brotherton will be commentating on the tie at Ashton Gate, with highlights to be broadcast on BBC One from 10.45pm. The show will be repeated at 7.40am on Sunday.

Highlights from the game will also be shown on Sky Sports One's Goals on Sunday programme, which broadcasts at 11am.

TEAM NEWS

Gary Johnson has all-but admitted Louis Carey and Michael McIndoe will miss the cup clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Louis has been out for three games with an Achilles problem, but despite light work on the training ground this week, he is unlikely to recover in time for the third round tie.

Michael was absent from the New Year's Day game with Coventry City after suffering dizziness and a sore neck. The problem has continued, and the winger has yet to train with his team-mates since.

FOURTH ROUND DRAW

The FA has confirmed the fourth round proper draw for this season's FA Cup will take place on Monday, January 7th 2008 and will be televised live on BBC2 and Sky Sports News (time to be confirmed).

The draw will be made by Alan Cork and John Aldridge and hosted by Sir Trevor Brooking.

City, Middlesbrough or both - dependent on Saturday's result - will be ball number 16 in the draw.
