DEADLINE DAY BUSINESS FOR CITY

Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007

City have been involved in two deadline day loan moves - both going out of Ashton Gate.

Alex Russell is joining League One Northampton Town for a month in order to get some games under his belt.

And Stephen Henderson is off to Blue Square Premier club York City for a month. As a goalkeeper, the club has a 24-hour recall clause in the deal.

Gary Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: "Alex's move is a positive one for the club because he needs games.

"While we have no games for a fortnight due to the international break, Northampton are playing twice this week alone, so this is ideal."

Of Henderson's switch, the City manager commented: "He'll go and get some games.

"He's had his carrot playing once for the first team and really enjoyed it, now he can go and get some more first team experience at York."

Meanwhile, Richard Keogh's one-month loan move to Huddersfield Town - first revealed by bcfc.co.uk yesterday - has been completed.
