IT'S A TRAINING DAY FOR CITY
City's players will be in training today following the cancellation of the pre-season friendly at Hereford.
The planned match at Edgar Street would have been City's first of 2007/08 on home soil, but bad weather forced an abandonment.
Now manager Gary Johnson will hold a training session in Bristol instead, as the players look to get the affects of travelling back from Stanstead yesterday out of their system.
After touching down from their flight home from Latvia, the team got caught up in the traffic chaos on the M4 - also caused by bad weather - and they arrived back in Bristol late at night.
Gary told bcfc.co.uk: "There were roads closed everywhere and it took seven or eight hours to get home.
"We'll be doing some training today to get all the travelling out of their systems, getting their legs moving again.
"We don't want this cancellation to affect our pre-season build-up, so the lads will play a practice match amongst themselves today instead."
City are next in action against Torquay United at Plainmoor on Tuesday nght.
