BOSS DELIGHTED WITH PROGRESS
Gary Johnson described City's 3-0 win over FK Zalgiris Vilnius as his side's "most solid performance yet".
The City manager is delighted with the amount of progress his players have made during their tour of Latvia, culminating in this afternoon's victory over the Lithuanians.
He told bcfc.co.uk: "It was a good performance, our most solid performance yet actually. Zalgiris are a really good side but we demoralised them.
"I'm pleased with our fitness levels and how we've been progressing during our stay in Latvia. We've trained twice a day, played three good matches and now we're ready to step it up back home."
City will make a decision on trialist Kjartan Finnbogason shortly, while defender Damian Gimenez is due another chance to impress after breaking his nose during the second match of the Baltic tour.
The squad will arrive back in Bristol on Friday before enjoying the afternoon off ahead of Saturday's trip to Hereford United.
Gary will use the time to assess the fitness of Steve Brooker and David Noble, who have both been at Lilleshall. Frankie Artus and Tristan Plummer will also rejoin the squad.
Jamie McCombe is rated a doubt for Saturday's match due to a shin complaint, while Liam Fontaine is still a week away from full fitness following an ankle ligament injury.
Finally Gary reacted to the speculation linking City with Lee Trundle in his usual way, saying: "I don't comment on speculation."
