SUMMER FUN DAYS FOR KIDS
City's Football In The Community department have lined up a series of Fun Days for local schoolchildren in the forthcoming summer holidays.
Tommy Hutchison and his coaching team will be travelling to Paulton, Wells, Taunton and Wraxall, as well as hosting a council-run course at Ashton Park Sports Centre.
It is all part of the community team's aim to take the club outside Bristol to youngsters in the Somerset area.
Tommy - a former Scottish international who played for Coventry City and Manchester City at the highest level during the 1970s - told bcfc.co.uk: "We spend the majority of the term in Bristol running after-school projects across the city.
"So we see the holidays as an opportunity to go out and visit the areas we do not usually reaching during term time.
"Apart from the coaching and educational angle, another benefit of these trips is that we are attracting more and more fans to the club.
"A number of children who have attended our Fun Days have gone on to watch matches at Ashton Gate as part of the Matchday Experience and Fans Of The Future initiatives."
Children will get the opportunity to try out the David Beckham shooting net, the Del Piero speed gun, the Zinedine Zidane manikin challenge, the Stephen Gerrard passing competition and the penalty competition.
