Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Bristol City
James Healey reports from Keepmoat Stadium
New manager Keith Millen started his reign as manager with a hard fought 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers.
City opened the scoring early in the second half with a Damion Stewart header only to be denied all three points by a 90th minute penalty from Billy Sharp.
In bright South Yorkshire sunshine the game kicked off with City naming the same starting eleven as that lost 3-0 to Millwall in the first game of the season.
The first real chance of the game fell to Damion Stewart from a Jamie McAllister free-kick. The giant defender found himself unmarked at the back post only to see the referee's assistant's flag in the air for offside.

Keith Millen experienced highs and lows in his first game |
Doncaster forced two corners in quick succession and after the second it seemed that George Friend had opened the scoring.
A deep corner evaded everyone and ended up at the former Wolves defender's feet. He seemed to have put the ball past the diving David James - but the England international somehow managed to claw the ball out from behind him to keep to the scores level.
New Rovers loanee Ryan Mason came the closest to open the scoring after 35 minutes. He picked the ball up and ran at the City defence to unleash a curling left-footed shot from 25 yards, which luckily went just wide of the upright.
Shiels went close from a similar distance with his right foot just before half-time, but once again James watched the ball fly wide of his stanchion.

McAllister swung in a left-footed cross onto the head of the unmarked Stewart who made no mistake from eight yards out.
City were on the front foot with Albert Adomah causing the Rovers defence some problems with his pace.
Veteran keeper Neil Sullivan, who was making his 500th league appearance kept Rovers in the game with a smart diving stop to deny David Clarkson.
