Swansea City 0-0 Bristol City
Adam Baker reports from Liberty Stadium
City and Swansea City shared the points in a goalless draw at the Liberty Stadium.
Cole Skuse had the best chance for City at the death, whilst Cedric Van der Gun hit the post for the hosts in the first half.
But the draw was more impressive for the visitors given that preparations were hardly ideal. City were once again ravaged by injury and illness.
Top scorer Nicky Maynard (stomach bug), goalkeeper Dean Gerken (illness) and skipper Louis Carey (knee) were all absent. Brian Wilson and Cole Skuse also dropped to the bench , with Adriano Basso, Bradley Orr, Lee Johnson, Ivan Sproule and Evander Sno all called in for starts.
Joe Allen lashed the first chance of the game over the top for the home side on five minutes.
But City soon settled and almost took the lead on 12 minutes when Jamie McAllister's inswinging corner was headed down by Liam Fontaine and cleared from the line by Dorus de Vries in the home goal.
Soon after Sproule cut in from the right flank and saw a low shot deflect off Alan Tate before bouncing inches wide of the upright.
Sno went closer still on 25 minutes, cutting past Ashley Richards on the left-side of the box before curling a vicious shot inches wide of de Vries' left-hand post.

Marvin Elliott and Alvaro Saborio challenge for the ball |
As the half wore on, Swansea slowly came into the match with Alan Tate firing over from a corner and Nathan Dyer shooting narrowly wide on the angle.
Then, seven minutes before the break, Andrea Orlandi's corner was flicked on at the near post by Cedric van der Gun against the outside of the upright.
Chances proved few and far between immediately after the restart, with the opportunity arriving on the hour when Basso parried away a close range Van der Gun header.
Substitute Craig Beattie forced Basso into action with 15 minutes left, while at the other end Saborio headed Sno's chipped cross into the waiting arms of de Vries.
Tate appealed for a penalty in vain with time ticking away and then Leon Britton set Jordi Lopez clear but the Spaniard's shot hit Basso's body before being hacked clear by Lewin Nyatanga.
That looked to have proved the last significant moment as both sides were heading for a fair share of the points.
However, Saborio teed-up Skuse and the midfielder's six-yard shot pulled a superb point-blank range save from de Vries. The referee's whistle sounded seconds later as the draw was confirmed.
