Kevin Betsy's first-half goal saw off the challenge of Northampton Town as City moved to within one point of second-placed Nottingham Forest in League One.

The £150,000 signing from Wycombe stooped to head home his first goal in City colours on 19 minutes, after Steve Brooker had forced Cobblers keeper Mark Bunn into a diving save.
