We've reached the first international break, but in truth, given the start to the season we've made, we would prefer to continue our momentum by playing on.

To a lot of teams it's probably a welcome break. For us, it does gives the lads who are injured the chance to return for us in the next game.

The Cardiff game in ten days' time has already been mentioned here at the ground and it's a big one for us. We're already focussed on it and looking forward to the game.

Come Monday we'll all be fired up and ready for the big game. And we're able to prepare on our new training ground - which we used for the first time today.

The drainage at the old training ground wasn't ideal and in the summer you'd find it like concrete; while in the winter it was just a bog.

We picked an ideal day to try out the new training ground for the first time - with all the bad weather - but after all the waiting it's great to be there.

I was going to enjoy a trip to the New Forest with the missus bike riding this weekend, but unfortunately the bad weather looks likely to put a stop to that. I have got my auntie's 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday to keep me occupied though.

Do you think that you will do a Teddy Sheringham and play until you are 40-plus or will you retire before that? James Marshall, Bedminster.

I think it was down to the position he played in and how clever he was as a player that Teddy Sheringham continued for so long, although in the two seasons before he retired he didn't play too many games. I haven't really thought about how long I will last, although I certainly don't feel 31 with the good regime we have at the club and the quality fitness team. I don't even look 31 - except perhaps for my hair falling out. Having said that, the hair fell out from one side of my head because of a scar, and I think the other side of my head felt sorry for it and evened it up. I digress. Who knows how long I can last if I can keep fit and stay away from injuries.

Enjoy the weekend!
