Two games gone and we've won both, so everyone in the camp is happy.

Saturday's game at Blackpool was a bit of a grind and in the end we came away with all three points.

We wanted to put a bit of a show on in the midweek cup game but that didn't really happen in the first half.

Peterborough came here, put us under pressure and played really well to frustrate us. We were much better in the second half and I think, in the end, we came out worthy winners.

I've been reminding the lads about my header on Tuesday, which is my second goal in five games (if you include last season) and my second assist in the same amount of games.

I was really happy with the goal because it's something I've been working on in training, along with Fonts.

The ball from Jamie McAllister was pinpoint and I managed to get my head on it and thankfully the keeper missed it.

The only sour note was the serious injury to Ribs, who we now know has suffered ACL damage.

I spoke to him on the night and he had already undergone an X-ray at hospital and everything was looking okay, but unfortunately the MRI scan said different.

It's a horrendous injury but I have already told him that he's young and with technology nowadays, the rehab and our fantastic staff at the club, it isn't a career-threatening injury like it would have been in the old days.

He'll certainly come back fitter and stronger than before, I'm sure of that.

We've been told it's 33 games since Derby last won a league game and the gaffer has been drumming it into us that he doesn't want us to be Paul Jewell's first victims in the league.

We'll be working hard over the next few days to prepare right. I know they've had lots of changes over the summer so it may be good to catch them early in the season. I'm sure come the end of the campaign they will be up there or thereabouts.

The Sky cameras will be in town this weekend and it's sure to be a good atmosphere at Ashton Gate for the first home league game of 2008/09.

Enjoy the game.
