A GREAT DECEMBER SO FAR
Read City captain Louis Carey's exclusive website blog, only on bcfc.co.uk.
December has been a great month for us so far and we want that to continue this weekend against Barnsley.
We've picked up some excellent points away from home and won both our games at Ashton Gate, against Ipswich and Cardiff.
Barnsley were the first team to beat us this season and we want to put one over on them to put that away defeat behind us.
Over Christmas and New Year there are four important games in ten days and it's really important to pick up some more points.
A lot of the fans can't believe where we are at the moment, and confidence in the camp is sky-high at the moment.
Everyone's really looking forward to Christmas too, especially Ivan! His missus is overdue with their baby and I reckon they wants to be like Mary and Joseph.
There are a lot of lads with new borns in the last year or so, so it should be a good Christmas off the pitch, hopefully it can be on the pitch too.
We'll be training on the evening of Christmas Day, but at least we're not travelling until the day of the West Brom game, and that gives us more time to see the family.
This is my last blog before Christmas, so on behalf of everyone at the club I'd like to wish you and your family a very, Merry Christmas!
Fan Question: How much of a difference does the East End make to you as a player? Also, please come down and give us a clap at the end of each game. Tony Herniman.
When it's full with 1,000 or more fans in there it can make a difference and the noise echoes around the ground. It's a big lift, and it also means we've got home fans all around the stadium. As far as applauding you guys in there, well by the time I've shaken hands with the opposition and referee - plus the 90 minutes previous - I'm often too tired! I'll try next time.
Fan Question: How do Basso and Vasko cope with the dressing room banter, and how is the communication on the pitch between you guys and the foreign lads? Aidan Hamilton, Marseille.
Vasko's English is excellent and Basso is very good now too. The latter does pronounce some words funnily, which he gets stick for. And Vasko says a few of the lads' names strangely, but communicating is fine.
Fan Question: Do you or any other players have nicknames? Grace, Bedminster.
Well I'm called Louis by the lads. We're not a very imaginative bunch. Scott Murray is Scotty, David Noble is Nobes, Jamie McAllister and Michael McIndoe are Macca. I could go on!
Fan Question: We, the fans, are genuinely starting to think of promotion to the Premiership as a possibility. I know, as players, that you're told to focus on the next game, but now that you've played against all the teams, do you feel that we can be there or thereabouts at the end of the season? Chris, Clevedon.
We haven't played Colchester or Palace yet. Relax! We're told to keep our feet on the ground and I think you guys should be the same. When we lost a few games in November everyone was a bit down and it was like we were going to be relegated. Please enjoy where we are and enjoy the ride.
Fan Question: Do you think you will get close to John Atyeo's appearance record? I reckon three more seasons should do it. Nick Lynch, Wigan.
He played 645 times and I'm closing in on 500. But let's be confident, yes I'll do it.
Fan Question: Looking back on this season and the games Bristol City FC have played, which game would you consider was the finest performance by the team and why? Arch Gilliard, Stoke Gifford.
Against Sheffield United at home was our overall best performance - it had good goals, was live on Sky and we were playing a former Premier League side. But we've played well in other games, like the wins at Coventry and Watford.
PS - I know I've got plenty more questions to answer, but I have to go to training!
