OPPOSITION
Watford have secured just two wins in their last 12 outings and currently sit, like City, in mid-table. The Hornets have worries off the pitch regarding their finances but they managed to keep hold of England Under-21 international goalkeeper Scott Loach during the transfer window despite a rumoured £2m bid from Tottenham Hotspur. One-time City target Jon Harley also remained at Vicarage Road in January. On-loan forwards Heidar Helguson (QPR) and Henri Lansbury (Arsenal) are their dangermen.
MANAGER
After a short spell as caretaker boss when Brendan Rodgers departed to Reading in June, Mackay was appointed into his first managerial role by the Watford board in November. An ex-Celtic, Norwich, West Ham and Watford defender during his playing days - and also a former Scotland international (five caps).
