Confusion reigned this morning over the identity of Bristol City's goal-scorer in last night's 2-1 defeat to Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds United at Elland Road. Trailing 2-0 deep into time added on, the Robins managed to grab a last-gasp consolation goal in Yorkshire. At first sight, it looked as though Bosnian centre forward Milan Djuric was responsible, having leaps higher than team-mate Jens Hegeler to get his head to a Dave Cotterill corner. Certainly Djuric, a half time substitute for Mark Little, was accredited with the goal by official media sources at Elland Road. But video re-runs of the incident served only to sow confusion, with some fans believing Matty Taylor applied the crucial finishing touch and others attributing the goal to Josh Brownhill.
Lee Johnson felt his Bristol City players were hard done by in defeat at Leeds United. City went down 2-1 at Elland Road in a game that turned on a moment of controversy midway through the first half.
Tammy Abraham is already a major doubt for Bristol City's big Championship showdown against Fulham at Ashton Gate next Wednesday. Injured in last night's 2-1 defeat at Leeds United, Abraham limped off after damaging his thigh shortly before half time at Elland Road.
Tammy Abraham is expecting the worst after being forced off against Leeds last night, according to Bristol City manager Lee Johnson.
