Bristol City will meet Premier League opposition in the fourth round of the FA Cup, providing they first overcome Fleetwood Town in next week's third round replay in Lancashire. The Robins travel to Highbury Stadium next Tuesday to contest the right to visit either Burnley or Sunderland in the next round on the weekend of January 27-30.

Bristol City discovered their FA Cup fourth round fate on Monday night and if they can topple Fleetwood Town in a replay next Tuesday, then Sunderland or Burnley away from home await Lee Johnson's side. The Robins played out a goalless draw with Uwe Rosler's side last Saturday and Johnson fielded all three of his debutants in the shape of Jens Hegeler, Bailey Wright and Milan Djuric. Cardiff City, meanwhile, will travel to Ashton Gate at the weekend with the Robins hoping to find some form after suffering nine defeats in the last ten games.

Lee Johnson is quite prepared to address any further imbalances in Bristol City's squad by taking players on loan this month. Although City's head coach would prefer to recruit players on a permanent basis in the January transfer window, he is aware that inflated prices might force he and chief operating officer Mark Ashton to resort to short-term solutions between now and the end of the season. City have already completed permanent deals for striker Milan Djuric, defender Bailey Wright and midfielder Jens Hegeler and Johnson has suggested that further signings could be in the pipeline.
