Latest round-up of news from the media.

Bristol City will start preparing for the visit of Cardiff City this week as they look to find some form following a dismal run of results in the Sky Bet Championship. The Robins have dropped to 18th in recent weeks after nine defeat in ten matches. However, they stopped in the rot in unspectacular fashion on Saturday with a 0-0 draw against League One Fleetwood in the FA Cup. Lee Johnson fielded all three of his new signings - Jens Hegeler, Milan Djuric and Bailey Wright - in the goalless tie at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City are bracing themselves for another bid for Luke Freeman from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers. Managed by former Bristol Rovers player and boss Ian Holloway, the West London club is keen to bring the midfielder to Loftus Road during the January transfer window.

Lee Johnson refused to be defeatist after his Bristol City side were held to a 0-0 draw by League One Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup third round today. On the plus side, City ended the six-match losing run that had done so much to erode confidence and kept a first clean sheet since December 2. City will also be in the hat for Monday's fourth round draw, but they now face the unenviable task of traveling to the Fylde coast to contest a potentially hazardous replay at Highbury Stadium on Tuesday, January 17.
The Post

Uwe Rosler was a proud manager after Fleetwood earned a place in the FA Cup fourth-round draw for the first time in their history. The Sky Bet League One club produced a tenacious and well-organised display to frustrate big-spending City, who boasted three debutants in centre-backs Jens Hegeler and Bailey Wright, plus Bosnia international striker Milan Djuric, in a goalless draw at Ashton Gate.
