Midfielder wants to help his side move away from the drop zone.

Neil Danns is fully focused on helping City’s cause after extending his loan spell until January 8th.

The midfielder’s arrival at Ashton Gate has coincided with some much-improved performances from Derek McInnes’ men.

After getting back to winning ways with a 3-2 victory at Sheffield Wednesday last week, Danns knows City must show similar spirit against Derby County at Ashton Gate tomorrow (3pm) if they are to record back-to-back wins.

“I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here and was happy to continue helping the team,” the midfielder told Bristol City Player.

“Since I arrived I have noticed a lot more positives than negatives.

“We let ourselves down against Wolves but that was just a blip. In the games leading up to that defeat we had been performing well.

“I have played in five games since joining and there has been only one poor performance; I think most teams in this division will take that.

“We got back on track against Sheffield Wednesday and hopefully we can build on that result tomorrow against Derby.

“It took character to win the game – we could have easily crumbled but we kept fighting and were rewarded with the three points at the end. If we show a similar spirit against Derby we will give ourselves a great chance.”
