Derek McInnes wants his side to show some consistency over the Christmas period as they look to climb the npower Championship table.
City will be looking to record back-to-back victories for the first time since August when they face Derby County at Ashton Gate on Saturday (3pm).
The Scot is hoping his side can reproduce the same determination they showed in the 3-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out.
“Any team who show a level of consistency in the npower Championship can climb the table and move away from trouble,” McInnes told Bristol City Player
“We are all well aware of the importance of putting back-to-back victories on the board.
“We have got to take advantage of being at home as Derby will be tough opposition. We have got to go out there on Saturday believing we can beat them.
“Last week we showed great character and determination to get all three points. We must take the positives from that performance into Saturday’s game.
“Derby have some experienced players in their team mixed with a lot of youngsters which brings a hunger and desire to succeed.”
There is good news for McInnes on the injury front with Greg Cunningham, Jody Morris, Martyn Woolford and Steven Davies all returning to training this week, while Jon Stead, Cole Skuse, Lewin Nyatanga and Louis Carey still remain sidelined.
