A Community feel from a Community club
Young supporters are very welcome at Ashton Gate, and we put a lot of effort into making them feel welcome.
If it's your first visit to Ashton Gate, then Scott Murray's video guide might well answer a lot of your questions about how to buy tickets and where to sit.
This year we were awarded the Family Excellence Award by the Football League for the third successive year.

To celebrate this achievement, we are providing even more facilities for families in the 2012/13 season.
Before the game, you can visit our Community Park, situated right next to the Stadium. For an hour and a half before kick-off, there's a whole range of attractions aimed at children and their parents. There will be inflatables, table tennis, face painting, skills competitions, occasional performances from local bands, visits from other local attractions and plenty of other surprises. It's the ideal place to keep your kids entertained in the build-up to the big game. Our mascot, Scrumpy the Robin, will also be on hand to say hello to young fans. Local DJ's offer a musical backdrop to the day.

As kick off approaches, you can follow Scrumpy to our dedicated family area, situated in Blocks A, B and C of the Atyeo Stand. There you can rest assured that we adopt a zero tolerance attitude to foul mouthed or abusive comments. If you feel that your children are being subjected to language or behaviour that you don't want them to hear, don't hesitate to contact the nearest steward.
Football clubs, schools or other organisations who make group bookings can also apply to be flag bearers at the start of the match or second half, or take part in a pitch parade at half-time. Young fans can also celebrate their birthday as part of a special package offered by the Bristol City Community Trust, or even be mascot for the day.

For more information on flagbearing, birthday parties or being a mascot, please contact Lesley Hardwell on 0117 963 0636 or email her at lesley.hardwell@bcfc.co.uk

Before the game, one of our players also presents a signed cap to a young supporter attending his or her first match at Ashton Gate. We only give away one cap per game, on a first come, first served basis and they are incredibly popular. If you'd like to be capped, please contact David Lloyd on 0117 963 0683 or email david.lloyd@bcfc.co.uk

Our award-winning programme 'Well Red' has its own dedicated pull out section for young supporters. It features cartoons, quizzes, competitions, player interviews and photos.
Please bear in mind that there is limited car parking close to Ashton Gate. Allow ample time to get to the ground, particularly if you have young children who may not be able to walk too far or too fast. You can get more details on parking here.
If you would like more information or have any questions or suggestions as to how we can further improve our facilities for young supporters at Ashton Gate, please e-mail david.lloyd@bcfc.co.uk.
